Music to my - "Oh hey!"

Funny thing happened to me on the way to work today...

Actually no, nothing funny really happens on the way to anywhere, its just something comedians say. Plus, this thing didn't even happen to me, I just saw it happen. Its not even funny.

So anyway, I'm taking the tram down into work, and I get off to catch another tram. Thats mainly because I can't be bothered walking so far. In fact, theres another topic for a blog post. But more on that later. While walking to the other tram, two people meet.

Theres a lot of people on public transport these days with things in their ears. Thats not to say that they have bugs, lots of earwax or even ear hair. I'm talking about earphones. They pass the time on public transport by listening to their favourite tunes. What happens though, when these people actually find someone to talk to? They have to pull out those earphones, and then talk. Whats worse is when they don't notice, they keep those earphones in, and just keep doing what they were doing.

Not very inspiring at all.

Its funny when two people with earphones in them see each other. The first one to notice smiles, pulls out the earphones, and tries to grab the others' attention. They can't talk you see, because the other person clearly can't hear much. When the other finally notices, they let out a suprised 'Oh Hi!' and then proceed to remove their own music excretion devices. So much effort just to say hello. I grin and chuckle at the ridiculousness of it all.
