Hi there y'all! I missed Saturday's post, probably because I was too busy, or too bored or nothing had really happened yet to say anything. Hmmm.. I wonder if that actually makes sense.
Yesterday, I woke up about 9, stayed in bed until about 10:40, then got up because I realised that Em was going to come and pick me up to go vote. Luckily I got ready before she got here :) So Fi, Em and I went to go vote at the local church. I actually got past all the people handing out flyers without even getting one. I took the approach I normally take at uni, and just say "no thanks". WHats the point of them anyway? they put all the same fliers into the polling booths, so its not like you don't have enough "how to vote" cards.
Oh well, so the Libs won again, which I think is good, and Kevs still our buddy. Sorry Em, I guess your kick in the bum vote didn't count for much.
So basically, I spent the rest of the day waiting for the night. I watched a bit of tv, chatted as usual, and played a bit of games. I even did some SAD work, I think I've done my part of the diagrams, so it should be okay.
I managed to get a ride from Paul to the city for these 21sts. Went to Soh's, saw some people, drank a bit, did a speech (that was crap by the way), and listened to some other people doing speeches. Sorry I didn't stay that long, but other people offered better alchahol :) Walked down to Andrew's 21st with Joce and James.
I probably spent the majority of the time drinking with Liang. Although, I said hi to a whole heap of people, and the speeches were okay. Too bad Andrew didn't go for any higher than $25. I would have bid, but umm.. I dunno, not drunk enough obviously. No, I didn't pick up, I knew almost everyone there, so thats not a good thing. :)
Went home with Liang and Sarah (remember your next door neighbour terence?) by catching a cab. I think Sarah was a lil drunk, since she kinda sang the whole way back while everyone else was silent. Liang even fell asleep :) Got home around 2:30 or so, and then just went to bed.
It was a good night, free booze, free food, people to talk to, what more could you want??
