Today was the all famous i-games day. That stands for international games day. Basically, its where a bunch of asians get together and play sport. Thats right, asians and sport, together. The international societies of melbourne university get members (and some non-members) into nice teams and make them play it off against other societies. While it sounds fairly competitive, it wasn't really.
So what sports were on offer today? There was badminton, soccer, basketball and volleyball. Actually I'm not so sure about volleyball, but they had that last year, so I'm just assuming they've got them this year as well. I got dragged into playing badminton for Law by Terence. He was meant to be sick, but he seemed fine enough to play soccer. Sometimes, I don't really know what he means about 'sick'. Recently, we've been insinuating meanings from lots of everyday words, like 'studying' and 'busy'. Maybe its related.
The day didn't start off well for me. Sam called at around 9:30 to ask for a ride when we were supposed to get there at 9:45. He woke me up with the call. Needless to say, we got there a little late, but still earlier than Soh. He didn't even get a game. I was really bored and quite annoyed at the fact that I didn't even get a game because he was late, and that I didn't get much game time during the day. In fact, I played 2 1/2 games all up. Sure we got to the semi-finals, but I played one game before that, I don't see how that works. It was indeed a waste of time for me. Perhaps next time, they should have less players playing badminton. Don't worry Susan, I'm not blaming you, its not entirely your fault. (plus, I can see the retaliatory implications of such actions if they were deliberate and thats ok)
At least there were some okay parts. Free food and drink. Pizza and coke, they always go together. Pizza can't really be that bad, and coke is the same all the time. Also, the game time was at least decent. I was playing people better than me, so while I might be annoying to them, at least I had a relatively good time.
Went to the dentist straight after that for a checkup. I'm okay. Teeth still decaying. I need mouthwash. Cool. Also, I'm broke. Yah, broke. $15 in my wallet, somebody can take me out to eat if they want. Heh. Nevermind.
