argh! don't wake me up!

Argh! Just when I'm looking forward to a nice long sleep in, people have to go wake me up. WHY!? Maybe I should turn my phone off when I go to sleep and don't need to wake up.

So after a long night of doing my networks assignment with Chris (up until about 2ish), I go to bed after being really tired the whole day. So tired in fact, that after the SAD presentation while we were doing networks, Joce actually smsed me to say "Hey Ally =) RU ok hon? U looked tired in SAD..." Now Joce never messages me unless she needs something, like a ride, (no offence Joce if you're reading this, I still luv ya newayz :-) ) so this was fairly out of the blue.

Can you believe who actually woke me up? Ginny, of all people, it had to be her. She called, and for those of you who know what my room looks like, I had my phone next to my computer. For those of you who don't, it means I had to get out of bed, stumble across to the other side of the room, bring my phone back to bed, and answer it. Whats worse is that she didn't even really have anything important to tell me except to vote for her in the student elections. Its like getting a call from John Howard early in the morning to try and get you to vote. Just shouldn't happen.

However, it didn't end there. After falling back to sleep, I get another call. This time, its from my grandma asking me to go to lunch. Lucky this time, I had my phone next to my bed.

At 11:30
"Can you come over for lunch?"
"nrreeeehhh"
"Its at 12:00."
"nreeehhh"
"Okay see you then."
"nregghh.."
*hangup*
*Ez falls asleep*

At 12.
*brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr*
(my phone is on vibrate)
*Ez wakes up*
"Are you coming?"
"yeaahhhhh"

So yeah, not enough sleep.

Lunch was ok, grandma is still spooning everything she can into my bowl. Came back home to do some more networks. I think we've finished the programming part, we just found the bugs and fixed them, changed a couple of structures partially, and thats about it. Although we've got a bug that seems to happen when we run shell scripts on the program, when theres fragments of 5 or 7, but when we do 5 or 7 without shellscripts, its okay. *shrugs* cbf doing ne more on it.

Played some more Rome, talked to Karmz a bit. They've got muckup day on Monday, which is quite early. She's also going to melb uni tomorrow for some history lecture to prepare for the exam. I thought that was kind of weird.

Oh I also did a delivery, managed to get a $7 tip somehow. Helps a bit with my financial troubles. *sigh* Hopefully I'll sleep well tonight.

You know, i've thought about leaving my phone on silent when i sleep - but then i always have this really irrational "but what if it's REALLY important" argument pop into my head.

The best feeling is when you actually switch the entire thing OFF so that you don't even have to worry about that damn annoying vibrating sound.

Trouble for me is that, right now, i need to leave my phone on normal mode or else the alarm won't sound. And if the alarm doesn't sound, i will probably get out of bed and turn off the other one without really waking up. And if that happens i will be late for uni because nobody else will wake me up.

Don't you just love cause and effect?
