Its so strange. Yesterday I was saying how my weekend would be completely empty. Well, last night and today, it managed to get almost completely filled up with fun activities for all!
I had nothing to do on Friday night, and I remember watching a preview for this foreign movie on the quicktime trailers site. It was called "Warriors of Heaven and Earth". Its kind of funny, cos I realised that I'd actually borrowed the movie from John ages ago, and never got around to watching it. So I watched it, and it was pretty good. I found my roots, and apparently they're in north western China. There was this guy in the movie who was named "Master An". He apparently controlled a lot of the countryside... and is somehow Turkish but can speak Chinese. So if the movie is more or less historically accurate, which my dad says it is since he assures me that our family came from the country bumpkin northern China, then i'm approximately 1/1024 % (1/(2^10)) Arab. Dad says we came from there about 10 generations ago. So watch out guys, I've got terrorist blood, and possibly that enzyme that other Asians don't have that breaks down alchohol faster.
Last night, mum told me that we'd be having a going away lunch thing with John this morning. This was later changed to 3pm. Apparently John wouldn't be able to get up for a 10am breakfast. Well actually, I wouldn't have either, since I managed to fill up my night till about 4am. We ended up going over to Adrian's house and spend some time with him before we left. Didn't actually do anything, except steal all his food as usual. Its probably going to be the last time we see him in person for the next 6 months or so. I hope you have fun! (oh yeh, and learn lots of Jap)
Then Andrew messaged me about dinner tonight. Sure we were discussing it last night, but I assumed that it would become something like what my highschool friends end up doing. That is, not much. Theres still that possibility, since we're just going to his place and then deciding where to go, or just to get pizza. But hey, thats my Saturday almost completely filled up.
