I thought I could sleep in till really really late. Like, at least the middle of the afternoon. But alas, people called.
Somehow the lawn seems neater than the last time I cut it. Perhaps it is because I cut it when it wasn't as long. However, there seemed to be a lot more grass than last time. This may also be because I emptied the grass catching thingy more often. So many differences, so many possibilities. Ho hum. At least its cut.
Went to see a movie, The Incredibles, with some people. I thought it was really quite good. Being incredible is teh bomb! I rekon the baby's super abilities are the funniest. So cute as well! With a name like Jack Jack, I'm not sure how he'd fit into the whole superhero thing though.
We also ate some Nando's and played a bit of pool too. Still pretty crap at pool, but can take the 'extra hot' Nandos food. Good news bad news kind of thing.
Anyway, came back to.... PP. Played cards again. I may have made myself (actually my parents) a business oppurtunity. A friend of a friend wants to have a 21st at the restraurant. So we discussed a bit of that... Other than that, the usual.

I've missed like... 3 days
I'll get right to it.
Christmas was actually kind of good. Working wasn't too bad, it didn't seem as busy as the last few years. There was a whole heap left over. Not enough of the stuff I really liked though. I kind of like the high class foods. Lobster salad, salmon cuts, virginian ham, tender turkey, etc. Damn asians almost all the lobster salad. As if you go to a buffet just to eat lobster. Get a life! We did the usual family get together and sat around doing nothing the rest of the time. I came home and played games. hehe. I managed to finish Rome again. I am now playing as Germania on the 'hard' difficulty level. Its actually quite challenging.
Boxing day... hmmm... Can't actually remember much of boxing day. Nothing interesting must have happened. Chances are I played more Rome.
Yesterday... hmmm. All I remember of last night is a lot of losing in poker. Stayed up till like.. 4:30. Pretty bad since I had to get up before the afternoon today. Went out to deliver some bao with mum and Fi, and also to go have yum cha in glenny. Ate too much western yum cha, not enough asian stuff, and it was very oily. Combined with the overdose of sugar I had last night, I think I've probably put on a whole pound. I should do a shit soon.
Another interesting thing today. Got pulled over by a booze bus. They saw my rego sticker was out of date. So I was told to pull even further off the road. Haha. Luckily it checked out fine. Mum had paid the rego, and I'd just forgotten to put the sticker on the car. *phew* They could have searched the trunk for bodies and everything! Lucky I wasn't smuggling 'cha siu bao' that day.
Ah I'm so not funny.

Skype Ad
We're trying to get more people to use skype. Its basically a Voice of Internet Protocol (VoIP) program which is free for calls over the internet. So if you've got a microphone, some speakers, and would rather talk to someone over the phone instead of typing out everything, then head over to the offical skype web site and download it. Its only 10mb, and completely free. You can also do conference calls with it if you've got enough bandwidth (512kb adsl or cable should be sufficient). Give it a go.

$30 tip yesterday for lunch. Apparently Paul Keating's cousin's mother-in-law was in attendence. She didn't give any of the $30 though. Cheapass.
Didn't do much the rest of the day though. Slept really early.
Today we went beaching, down to Frankston. Got bitten by a crab, caught a ray. Quite eventful. Thats all I've got to say about it though, other than that there were more than the usual number of emergency vechicles around today.

Work, again
Yesterday I worked, today I worked. Am I working too much?
You know, every since I've had a job, I've been wondering, what does it mean to 'go to work'. To some people, its just go to some other place and just kind of piss fart around till you're supposed to leave. For others, its to go to the first level of hell, and get paid for people to watch you dance around. A not so good analogy would be to work as a gladiator in ancient Roman times.
Yet, we will all have to do it some day. It becomes a way of life. For the record, I don't really want to be working full time. It just sounds too hardcore. Wake up, work, go home, eat, sleep. It becomes monotonous, downright boring, and leaves you almost no room for a life.
Maybe I'm just annoyed I couldn't make it to Em's birthday. If you read this Em, HAPPY BIRTHDAY for the other day. I only know cos she reminded me which day it was. Normally I'd forget, like Terence's. I don't keep a list of people and their birthdays, too much hassle. I really can't be stuffed. If that says bad things about me, then oh well. I don't expect to be seen as an angel or a really loving caring friend. Couldn't really care when your birthday is, really. It only means that I gotta buy a present and stand around trying to think of things to say, not to mention write on your card as well. I'm really a bastard, on many levels.

CDs, PS2, and work, again.
I think the title pretty much sums up my day. Woke up to check out the 'Hoe swap meet with Sam. All I needed were some cds, so we got them, some cd markers, and just had a little bit of a look around.
Turns out both of us hadn't eaten yet, so we decided to grab some brunch. Originally, we had thought of going to Taco Bill. Sam lives around the area, and he never knew that it existed until just the other day, which just goes to show how much Sam knows about his area :). But when we got there, it was closed. Apparently its only open for dinner, which is pretty crap if you ask me. So, since Nandos was next door, we popped in for lunch.
After that, we went over to Sam's to play a bit of PS2, cos I was bored, and had nothing to do at home. Needless to say, I got my arse kicked in just about everything. Oh well.
Bummed around at home till work, went to work. Busy today. I also saw June's parents, which is kinda funny. Didn't get much time to say anything since it was kind of flat out most of the time. Anywho, dad got me to drink something so that I wouldn't go out later tonight. Funny guy my dad is.
Oh and by the way, my cut seems to be getting worse, for those of you who care.

The Mill Park Library
On the way to Jane's, we saw a sign for the Mill Park Library. I laughed, thinking, "Wow, its that far out that the library is like some sort of national treasure." There was another sign:
Library Sign Post
We passed it, dismissed it, thinking it was something else. Then on the way back, we actually saw it in its entrirety.
Mill Park Library (sorry its a fuzzy pic, Grace should take some photography classes)
It was only then that I understood why it was so good! Yeah thats it.

Rudolph and Jazz.
Two things to say. Rudoulph and this guy at work (they're different people/reindeers). Both negative things to say. Hold on, my sister just came in saying that everyone thinks I'm down. I said its because I keep writing negative things in my blog. So I've come up with one positive thing: Diana Krall.
Diana is actually a jazz singer. I found out about her while shopping, at Myer no less. It was actually the other day, just before tennis, and I went into myer to look for tennis balls. I think I mentioned that they revamped their whole sport section, and now theres nothing except sporting apparel. Not a single piece of sporting equipment in sight, at least not in the basement. So I kept walking, looking for the stuff, and I ended up in the new Virgin mega store. Diana has like, three albums in the Jazz top 10. I figured, yeah, she must be good, so I typed her name into my phone and bought some t-shirts. Totally unrelated I know, but I had to use my $25 voucher before christmas, and as if I'd pay for music.
So when I came home. Hang on, wait, it was only just today, I just looked her up and downloaded a couple of her albums. Not bad at all. I'm not really much of an expert on jazz, but its just soothing, in its use of offbeat sounds. I thoroughly recommend that everyone whos anyone gets some of her music. Just do a bit of googling (or alternatively, just ask).
Okay, onto Rudolph. I'm directly referring to the Christmas carol, Rudolph the red nosed reindeer. Rudolph was an outcast, like the fat kid in school. Then he gets picked out by the popular celebrity (Santa), and he suddenly becomes the most popular kid in school. I just want to know what this says about our societies. Nothing other than his association with Santa makes Rudolph popular. How extremely superficial. Its the same as if some kid from school got on as an extra in say.... Troy. He'd be the most popular kid in school. Maybe I'm just envious.
The guy at work... his name is Joe. He's some hongky guy whos apparently some sort of doctor. But he's the kind of Doctor like.. Doctor Nick. Except instead of saying 'Hello everybody!', he'd say, 'Harlo everybody!' when commencing an operation. He can't be a doctor in Australia because he doesn't have Australian certification. I never knew you had to be qualified in Australia to practice. Maybe they just don't trust doctors with degrees from Asian countries. I know I wouldn't. You could pay people to give you certification. But surely there would be some sort of exam he could take to be registered or certified. Anyway, onto what I was going to say.
Basically, he's a lazy, selfish, poo. Sometimes, I wonder how people with his morals make their way in the world. They don't seem to feel any remorse, or regard for their fellow man. However, when I think about it, it makes sense from an evolutionary standpoint. The ones who look after themselves aren't held back by the others. It doesn't necesarily make them stronger, but they get support without giving any back. It wouldn't work if everyone was like that, but the fact that the majority of people aren't makes them thrive. *sigh*

Thursday night was work, then out to PP for some quality time with Terence and the gang for his birthday. Ended up playing cards, again! Figured I'm actually missing out on something for new years, again.
Last night was work, and after that, there was a movie night at Eric's. We watched "House of sand and fog". Depressing, but very very good. Definately earns my respect for both the acting and writing.
I'm sleeping a lot now. Almost slept half the day last night and the night before. Thats definately a good thing. Anyway, time to get ready for another night of work. Hopefully this night won't be as busy busy busy as the last two.

Ah, back to it
Yesterday, I didn't really do much. There was a little bit of errand running, being social, and catching up with past nannies.
I woke up early because I was meant to take Fi to work. Got that down pat, and bought some Telfast for mum. The fact that it was the wrong kind of Telfast never crossed my mind. I thought it was only for hayfever, and that one tablet would cure all the symptoms.
So anyway, came back to the restaurant, said hello and stuff to Erma, who looked after me from the age of about 6 months until I was about 2. She still seems lovely for a German lady. Seems to have no place on her body without operation scars, which is kind of scary.
Time for some more errands.
Filled up the air in the van's tyres, carried the roast pork buns downstairs, took packaged roast pork buns to the grocery in Doncaster, deposited some cheques, changed some cash into coins, changed the packet of Telfast, bought some milk, picked up Fi. It probably wasn't all in that order, and some items kind of overlapped or were done simutaneously, but it sounds like a lot now that I think about it.
I felt really sleepy by about 8, so I took a nap. Ended up waking up to a phone call at around 10. Since it was Terence's birthday, we bummed at his house. Sure, not the best way to spend your birthday, but its his fault for not organising anything. He did, in actual fact, organise something, but he's neither shouting nor formally inviting people to it. Its actually tonight, and I can't make it since I'm working, but oh well. I really couldn't be bothered going all the way to Crown anyway.
After getting back from Terences at about 1. I couldn't sleep no more. So I went with dad to the market without any sleep, and helped him do the stuff that he does. Then I dropped by Auntie and Uncle's place to grab some free breakfast/lunch. Big breakfast asian style. Not bad at all.
Did you know that Myer doesn't actually stock any sporting equipment anymore? I went down there to buy some tennis balls. Guess what? Nothing. All they have is sporting apparel. What a waste of my time. I just bought a couple of t-shirts.
Ended up getting tennis balls at rebel sport. I'm not sure if they jibbed me or not, but oh well. Went up to uni to play some tennis with Chi, Eric, Nancy and Sam. FUN. Haven't played in a while, yet I can still sometimes hit the ball. Not a bad effort.
After that, Eric and I went to check out Chi's new crib. Not bad at all. Had the idea to get parking permits from him since its so close to uni. I wonder how many he can get :) Anyway, back home now, getting ready for work.

I'm not depressed actually
Don't worry, really, I'm not.
It feels more like a physical thing than anything. I just don't feel I'm able to 'experience' as much emotionally, like I look at things with more detachment than I used to. This is not to say its an especially bad thing, I looked at everything with detachment. Theres definately a bare minimum of emotion involved.

sorry...
Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Been tired, busy, or otherwise engaged.
I haven't written anything about whats actually happened for those who are actually interested in what happens in my life.
Friday:
Friday night was Jane's birthday. It was pretty good. I drove Grace, and we got lost a couple of times on the way. Lucky she had a recent version of the melways too. Mine didn't actually have the place on the map because its a new housing development. Its kind of like Caroline Springs, except theres no golf course. The fact that its in woop woop is the same, but in a different direction.
I saw those people that I didn't know, those I didn't know, but suprisingly, not too many people I knew but didn't want to talk to, which is definately a good thing. There was this funny thing on the way back. Actually, on the way to and on the way back. Once I manage to get pictures of it, I'll post them up.
Saturday:
I can't really remember what I did on Saturday except work.
Actually now I do.
There was Emily's BBQ for her going away/birthday. I knew about... 3 people there. Was okay. Free food, free drink. Can't complain. As usual, held in the Ruffey park. There was a game that kind of died. There was a lot of talking, some smoking (not that I took any part in that, I'm asthmatic) and umm.... some pictures. Had to leave because I had to go to work.
I couldn't sleep.
Sunday:
Day of the cruise.
We were a little late because Eric finished church at about 12:30. So by the time our team got together, it was about quarter past 1. We ended up getting to our first checkpoint in second placing. Thats if you take the time we took to get from the start to the checkpoint into consideration.
The second checkpoint was a little harder. We actually passed it. Hehe. So we had to get back to it. But we managed to get 1st place for the last checkpoint, because one of us got lost, the other one stopped in the wrong place, and we just kept going. But we lost in the end :( Didn't get enough bonus points from letter boxes or creek signs to make any difference. Oh well. Maybe next time.
Monday:
I had the BEST sleep for about 2 weeks between sunday and monday. I went to bed like 9:30 on sunday night because I was just so tired after having 3 hours sleep the night before. So after that, I thought I'd be back to normal. I went to get a haircut in the morning and also took my grandma to see the doctor. We stopped by a restaurant to have some yum cha on the way. Nothing is wrong with my grandma, the CT scan says so. So we just came back home to sit around.
We ended up going out to pancake palour. There were 7 of us, celebrating Soh's miraculous results. He passed everything! We stayed till about 5am, playing 'bluff'. It was just one game that went on for AAAAAGGGGGEESS... Finally, Sharon won, I came second, and Sam gave up after he called a bluff that wasn't actually a bluff, from Soh who told him not to. Silly kid that guy :)
Tuesday:
So after getting back at 5am, I slept till about 3pm.
Got up, sat around, went to work, and just got back around now.
I'm feeling more confident about work. I don't get sweaty as easily (because I'm not so nervous) and stuff like that. I finally do a lot more than just sit in the bar pouring drinks and washing glasses. I actually enjoy most of it now.
Anyway, bw time... laterz

I'm starting to lose feeling...
My senses seem to be deteriorating. Perhaps from the lack of stimulation, maybe from old age. Either way, the world seems a much duller place.
The nasal cavity is never been one of the best places for smells to hang out. But for me, nothing seems to be registering. Perhaps all those nose pickings are starting to pull those hairs out which have something to do with smell. Everything smells the same, all the time. I can't even smell food, which makes it,... well... I don't have anything to contrast it against now.
My hearing is getting worse apparently. I need to ask people to repeat what they've said over and over again until I finally understand. Then when I do understand, I take a while to respond to it. Its like I've got delayed reaction. No nothing else is on my mind, and no, there haven't been any drugs involved (including alchohol, I haven't drunk anything for at least a month).
Without my glasses, vision is also getting increasingly clouded. I've got an explanation for this one. My sleeping pattern is all whacked out, so when I should be really awake, I have blurry eyes from just getting up, and then when it doens't matter, I'm sitting in front of the computer anyway, so it doesn't matter. My glasses are also getting quite scratched. I dropped them the other day, they came apart, in the grass, so it made it kind of bad. Still looks fine generally, but the minute differences I can't really tell. Never been much of a perfectionist. Another possibility is that years sitting in front of a computer is starting to make me blind. Quite possible in fact.
Touch still seems to be fine. I can feel things quite well. Pain however, seems to be handled really easily. I got burnt at work tonight. Its been happening for quite a while. I just shook it off tonight. Normally I at least curse and something. You could argue that I've just gotten used to it, or that the boiling hot water just killed off my pain receptor cells, and you'd probably be right. But without something in the touch sensory domain, it leaves me with less to go on for a more dramatic 'losing feeling' story.
Emotionally I'm lacking any feeling too. I don't feel especially happy, I don't feel especially sad, and theres no 'potential' to drum up any feelings. I'm not even ecstatic or excited when I get paid. There was $250 sitting on my desk just before, from doing whatever it was that I was doing, and I don't feel happy. Its like... 'ok, I think i'll go get some petrol'. I don't even feel emotionally drained, so its not like it could have 'leaked out' as such.
Its like I'm missing something now, something I had maybe a year ago. But not much has changed since then, so I don't know.
The nasal cavity is never been one of the best places for smells to hang out. But for me, nothing seems to be registering. Perhaps all those nose pickings are starting to pull those hairs out which have something to do with smell. Everything smells the same, all the time. I can't even smell food, which makes it,... well... I don't have anything to contrast it against now.

sssssslleeep
I haven't slept since yesterday afternoon. I really shouldn't be too sleepy, but I feel a bit. Even if I go to sleep now, I'll just have to get up in like 4 hours, so I figured theres not really much point.
Yesterday, there was nothing actually planned. I downloaded Sid Meiers 'Pirates!' and played that for a while. Sam called to see if I wanted to go mini golfing at 10pm. I said ok because I had nothing else to do except go driving with Fi. Not that I really like going driving with her, mm... just kinda boring. We were only going to deliver bao anyway.
It only occured to me that going mini golfing at 10pm was a little weird. I enquired while on the way with Sam. He didn't know where we were going anyway, I was giving him directions. Oh well...
Turns out theres a new place in knox city which has glow in the dark mini golf. Not really much of a mini golf course. There was only one hole with tunnel things. I figured I can't putt.
I saw Em there as well. Its funny how I seem to run into her all the time, and she always notices me and says hi before I've even seen her. Sorry. For those of you who think I may be snobbing you off, chances are, I'm not. I probably just didn't even see you with my eyesight getting worse. Even if I am trying to snob you off, if you say hi, I'll be polite and say hi back.
We ended up going to some asian place to eat. I don't get it. WHats with people and trying to eat from their own ethnic cuisine? Don't you get enough at home? Sure, Shine bar and lounge isn't that flash (sorry south easties), but it might be nice to try something new.
Got home, played Pirates and read until around now. Assembled some chairs mum brought home, and yeah... ate some dried fish buns.
Jane's b'day tonight. Should be fun. People I vaguely know, people I never talked to (but kind of knew), people I don't know, and people I do know. Meh. Wonder if I should take my swimmers just in case like it suggests.

I tried updating before, blogger seemed to be down. Oh well.
Haven't done much. I've read a lot of this book called Caesear. Its about the title. I'm up to the part where he fights the united Gauls for the first time. Good for him.
Actually I had work tonight, and I made lots of martinis and margeritas. They seemed to like it so much they ordered several more. I must be a genius :) Remember, stirred, not shaken.

All that in one day!

Yeah.. I'm so screwed. Woke up at 3:30 again today from reading till about 5 last night.
Didn't do much today either... sat around... yeah..s eriously thats about it.

I was feeling really tired at around 12:30 last night, so I thought I'd call it an early night. But when I got into bed, I couldn't sleep. In the end, I read the rest of the Da Vinci code until about 4 in the morning. Its actually quite good. I couldn't stop reading the last 10 or so chapters. It really keeps you wanting more. That Dan Brown guy is a genius.
Got up at 3:30 today. I got woken up by my phone alarm. Lucky I set it, it was supposed to be set just in case I forgot to go to basketball. I was supposed to be at 4.
I'm not really confident with basketball. I haven't played for ages... like.. not properly. I'm always the one at the back, making the occasional steal. Can't dribble, can't fake. I can shoot, barely. Nevertheless, I had fun. It makes me think of primary school, where I was pretty much the crappest in our little group of friends. I could only do bucket shots, those ones where u get both ur hands below your legs and launch the ball into the air with all your strength. Ah... and the times where I'm the last one to get selected into sports teams, and then when I get made captain because the teacher feels sorry for me, people sigh and moan when I pick them first. I can still remember their voices... Little kids can be so mean.
Must be where my lack of 'will to win' comes from. Since I was so shit at sport as a little kid (and still am), I kind of gave up. When I play, I seriously just play for fun. Mmm.. just a thought: I think also my will to actually do something with my life also comes from there. If I don't have a will to win, I don't need to be the best at anything, so I don't think I have to achieve something with my life. I just take it as I go.
Came back to find that I didn't really have any dinner to eat. So I made myself some instant noodles, chucked some tuna in, and voila! Too bad it tasted like crap :(
I'm really struggling to find things to do on the computer now. I end up visiting the same sites over and over again, not finding much new. I've even run out of stuff to download. So instead, I watched 'House of Flying Daggers' which I managed to leech off Eric the other day. It was pretty good. Lots of cool martial arts fighting, funky knife throwing, and other related things. I thoroughly recommend it.

MMMmmmMMMMMm.... 21sts, LANs, and the infinite universe
Wow, I haven't blogged since... friday!
Thats quite a while. I must have been doing things.
Friday night was Lisa's 21st. Alex gave me a ride. It was a fairly average 21st I rekon. Probably because I hardly knew anyone. It was supposed to be a 'cocktail' event. That is, we were supposed to wear something a little more formal than a t-shirt. Nobody even drank anything though. I think there was a total of about 3 people who actually drank a drop of alchohol, myself included. It felt so weird... Almost every girl there was wearing a black dress. I think quite a few of them were the same as well. Oh well, it was different, I guess.
We ended up going to pancake palour afterwards. Sat around to 'have a chat'. There were no cards involved. A rare moment to not have cards out on the table when Terence is at pancake palour.
Saturday night was Joce's 21st. I drove, so there was no drinking for me. Not that I would have anyway, since there was no alchohol tab :) I'm always a sucker for free stuff. I didn't even know there was free food for like.. half the night. So sad :( I think I met two new people. I can't even remember their names. I only know one now because he gave me an invite to his birthday, which so happens to be the same as Jane's. Now I have to decide which one to go to. I'm leaning towards Jane's, since I've actually known her for more than 2 hours. The theme for hers is 'Gods and Goddesses', and I don't know if I can be bothered dressing up. I don't have anything! There was just the possibility of going with a lightning bolt strapped to my forehead, but I don't think that'd work. Ho Humz. Free food and drink at both parties. Ho humz, yeah probably Jane's, even though its like in woop woop.
Sunday night was spent at Soh's house, having the LAN session we finally got around to having. Didn't really do much actually. We only played CS, a bit of broodwar, and some warcraft 3. There was the usual bit of leeching, but wasn't really that fun. Decided to come back home around 7:30. Went to go grab a maccas breakfast with Eric, then came home to have a nap.
I've decided I'm quite sick of both lounge/bar birthdays, and LANs. They're both fairly boring, especially the parties if you don't know anyone. The loud music at parties makes conversation almost impossible. I was having one of these 'conversations' with Michael and Grace (the med dudes) at Joce's 21st, and I think I was just nodding and saying "Yeah" to whatever they said because I couldn't understand what they were saying. I thought it was going to go on for like the whole night, but luckily, I had to sign the card, so that saved me. I thought I'd find someone I knew further away from the blaring music.
The fact that I'm not really much of a conversation starter makes these parties especially boring for me. Not only do I not understand most of what people are trying to say, I don't usually make a very conversational response to the parts I do understand. So theres a lot of awkward silences. Remind me not to do something like the typical 21st for mine (that is if I actually end up doing anything).
LANs on the other hand involve too much leeching. Half the time is spend transferring warez, pr0n, or illegal movies and songs. Not that I'm against such stuff, its just that I was under the impression that LANs were about gaming. No such luck. I don't even have any games to play anymore. I don't even see why I bothered. I did, however, manage to grab a copy of some BBC documentary on space. I think I'll go watch it.

So whats kept me too busy to write blogs?
Quite a bit actually.
Well firstly, there was the SAD exam. I don't think I went THAT well... since I ran out of time. Everyone else said they ran out of time, well at least the people I talked to. Running out of time isn't the best experience to have in an exam, especially when you're used to finishing them really early. It wasn't that we didn't know our stuff, we did. Its because they gave us more stuff to do than we had enough time for. 5 questions, the last 3 worth 3/4 of the marks. So thats half an hour each. Now if you were going to design functionality of an entire system in half an hour, I'd say.. errr... good luck. Its basically a folly. You'd end up with something so shithouse, that it wouldn't even cover most of it. Guess what my 35 minute job ended up like. Not pretty.
Went shopping afterwards. Again, shopping isn't really my thing, but I didn't really have much else to do, and there was a sale on. Didn't buy much, just a couple of shirts for work. But it was good to socialise I guess.
I borrowed some books from Terence on the way home. They should keep me occupied for quite a while.
Sam came over to leech some stuff. Got some music from him as well. Looking forward to expanding my musical horizons.
As for Thursday, didn't do much either. Read about a quarter of 'The Da Vinci code'. Its pretty interesting so far. I also went with mum and fi to deliver some more bao. We even went to pancake palour afterwards. Hmmz... yeah.. and thsa bout it..
Oh I got HL2. Fun :)

Back on track, almost
I spent almost the whole day out yesterday, so thats why no post.
I was supposed to go into uni to study, and I actaully did for a little while. Actually it was more like Fi wanted me to take her because she had an exam, and she convinced me to go to the SAD review lecture. But yeah, anyway, we went. I spent about an hour doing productive study, then headed off to the lecture.
It was such a waste of time. They didn't say anything I didn't already know. It was really packed as well. I'm guessing because for most people, SAD is their last exam so they went because they had nothing better to do. Oh well... I guess you can't have everything, and I guess its meant to be for people who are on a borederline pass. The thing is, if you knew how to do the assignments, you should be fine for the exam. Almost all the assignments were group assignments, so I guess it doesn't mean everyone who passed the assignments would would be looking at a sure pass in the exam. Damn the freeloaders.
So after that, came back home for dinner, then headed off to Terence's for the poker night. It turned out quite enjoyable actually, except for maybe Sam and Lisa, who didn't reaaalllyyy know what was going on. Alex is still funny though. His poker face is completely unreadable. No abnormal expressions there at all. He even does the hongky slap down of cards thingy. But yeah, after we figured that out, we figured he was bluffing every single hand, so after that, he went down and down and down.
We also had pizza and lots of junk food, so that was kind of unhealthy. But hey, all in the name of fun.
My social life seems to be back on track as well. After two weeks of sitting around on my arse, I finally have things to go to. A few birthday parties, poker nights, and even the movie the other day. I even got a mailed invite to a birthday party! Woah thats a first. Not only did they send an invite, they also mailed it in a handwritten envelope. I feel special :)
Some of you might be wondering what I'm doing up so early as well (if this is early). I actually got a phone call from someone other than my mum. It was someone from Hudson's recruitment agency, looking for people for telesales. No thanks. Plus, they have assesment day tomorrow, which is my exam.

If my sleeping pattern wasn't already bad enough
Even after working last night, and carrying lots of stuff up and down stairs, I still had trouble sleeping till very early in the morning. Tossing and turning in your bed isn't exactly the best experience in the world. So in the end, I gave up and read. I'm reading this book about the WW2 Normandy landings. Its quite interesting. I'm quite into all those military thingys, so that kind of makes sense I guess.
I used to think that the British only had one plan of deception to make Hitler think that they were going to land elsewhere. Now I found out that they had quite a few. There were deception plans in place to make them think that there were going to be landings in places like Finland, the south of France, and even in the Balkans. It makes me wonder how you could move a whole army from Britain to the Balkans without anyone noticing. In today's world, that'd be impossible. Satellite surveilance would have it covered the whole way.
Not only have intelligence gathering techniques changed dramatically during the last 60 years, military tactics have as well. Most of the time, air superiority would pummel any standing army into the ground. It was fairly silly of Saddam to think that he could win a conventional war against the US during the first Gulf war. He should have learnt from the communist victories in Korea and Vietnam, and with the benefit of hindsight, from the current Iraq war as well. The only way to beat a standing US army is to hide in the population, to be able to use your advantage of numbers and force them to make close combat.
So some advice to any nations thinking of standing up to the American military machine. Stay home.

Stay home.
Me no CEO
Today I got up late as well. I think it was only about 1 or 2 o'clock. Not too bad :)
Sat around for a while, and went to work. It wasn't that busy today at the restaurant. There was however, a lot of heavy lifting to compensate for that. Its good to know I still have some strength left after sitting around on my arse for so long. Nice to get a little exersise in as well.
My revelation for today is that I'd probably never be one of those CEOs of a big corporation. My reasoning is that since big corporations have a lot of politics involved, and that I don't like getting involved in politics myself, it'd never work out between us. Personally, I don't really like the idea of having to backstab people to get to the top. It goes against my principles. Having to backstab someone that you don't like is pretty bad to start off with, and then having to backstab someone you work with is even worse. Maybe I just don't like to have enemies. They're usually a bad thing.
I'd only like to maybe own my own business. I wouldn't want to have it listed on the stockmarket or anything, or even take on partners, unless I was ultra sure that nothing bad would happen, which is highly unlikely. Shareholders just make everything worse.

I think I found something to write about!
Yes I did. Two things actually. And before I forget, firstly, there was yesterday, and secondly, there were all the comments that I only got around to reading today.
No, I haven't finished exams yet. I've still got one on Wednesday. It should be fairly easy, I think I'll study Monday/Tuesday. Should be okay. It does seem like I'm on holidays because I think I already am. My holiday mode seems to have punched in a bit early. Remind the exam guys not to put my exams more than a few days apart or else I won't study till the last day. Also, there isn't much to do. Its not really an exam about how much you know, its more like how well you can do something, and I can't be stuffed practicing.
Yesterday, apart from getting up quite late, I actually went out. I haven't actually been 'out' as such for a few weeks at least, so this was quite a welcome change. I went to see Collateral, starting Tom Cruise. It was okay... not too flash, but not exactly bad either. Basically its about this hitman who takes a cab. An accident happens, and the cabbie gets involved.
Actually before the movie, we went to have dinner. It was meant to be this japanese place, but as usual, they didn't actually have any japanese people in the place. The ramen was spaghetti, and the food wasn't very filling. By the time I got home that night, I was starving, I had a two packets of biscuits and a couple of tins of tuna on the side (to give them some flavour). I had this dish called 'Volcano Ramen', which was basically hot spaghetti. MM... not exactly the best in the world... but oh well... I was hungry, and it tasted alright at the time.
Alex forewent his traditional standup. Normally he just stands up straight after we finish eating to leave. We managed to get him to stay sitting down to stay and 'have a chat'. Turns out we did have a nice chat... Funny guy Alex is.
After dinner, we went to the casino and spent about 2 hours losing $30. Actually, it was more like Eddie, Marcus and Alex lost $30 and the rest of us just stood around laughing at them. Hohoho. Grace actually won $5, cashed it in, and ran :) So smart. Then some people got some Boost juice, and we saw the movie. (Read above if you missed the movie part)
As we were leavin to head off, I saw some people that looked familiar. But they were all dressed up and stuff... so naturally, I thought that no, it couldn't have been people I knew... particuarly not on a Thursday night at crown. Or is that asian night at next blue? Anyway, turns out they did know me. after shouting my name a few times, they finally managed to get my attention. It was Dot and her shanghainese friend... damn I forgot her name... ahahah... ah crap.. she better not read this. (somebody just tell me what her name is again, I think it started with a 'S')
Going home was a bit of a bother. Since Alex had driven us everywhere from uni, and Terence's umbrella was in Eddie's car who was driven by Marcus to the casino, we went with Marcus to Eddie's car, took Eddie's car to my car, and the finally went home. But no... my night didn't end there... there was naruto to watch. Interesting development, next week's episode looks to be interesting as well.
At about 3:30 in the morning, we got a call from the security company. The alarm at the grocery went off, so dad and I went to check it out since I was still awake. No harm seems to have been done. Possibly just a very curious cat looking for something to eat. Not that those cats don't have enough... greedy bastards... they get all the scraps anyway.

time for something substantial...
I think its about time for writing something which has some value. So for today, its cereal.
Whats in a humble box of cereal? Usually, wheat. Lots and lots of wheat. Perhaps lots of wheat extract.
In some cases (e.g. rice bubbles, coco pops), they look like rice. Although it puzzles me to see how those bits of stuff could actually come from rice. You know.. this isn't really going anywhere, I think I'll start again.

so bored
I had my exam yesterday, and I'm already really bored.
All I did today was play games and eat. *sigh*
Played some broodwar with terence. First time in a long time. Just those comp stomps. Oh well, fun while it lasted.

Okay so I did actually do some study today, since my exam IS tomorrow after all.
But notice the word some. *sigh* I'm still having motivation problems after all this time.
So what did I do instead? The usual. Sit around, play Rome, watch Alias, eat, sleep, umm... yeah thats about the extent of my life.

Again with the nothingness
Sorry... didn't do anything today either... but woke up a little earlier... like.. 2pm. Good effort yeah?
On a sidenote...
I just remembered that yesterday, when I was checking the current temperatures on the bureau of metetrology website... that the relative humidity was like 97%. I think thats really quite silly, since it was raining. I always thought it measured the amount of moisture in the air... but REALLY...

Bored?
I know the last few posts haven't been very interesting at all. Hey perhaps maybe every post I've ever written hasn't been very interesting. Well... since I've been writing crappy and boring posts, I've felt kind of crap. My life doesn't seem as interesting as it used to be a few weeks or months ago. Today wasn't any different.
I watched a lot of alias season 1... played some Rome: Total war (I can't get enough :) ) and umm... went to work. Yes... work.... but for my parents. Heheh... oh well.. at least I'm not in debt to them anymore, assuming that they don't hold those school fees and meals against me.
So... about tv shows. I think I've figured out how a lot of the tv shows I watch keep me watching. Firstly, episodes have conflict. Now this conflict is usually never very simple conflict. Its almost always complicated e.g. the OC. Now there is hardly ever a simple situation in that show, and even I can't think of a simple solution. Secondly, these conflicts are usually long winded, taking at least a few episodes to build up enough suspense and tension to bring it to the forefront of the show's plot. This is particularly evident is shows such as Naruto, and Alias. They keep you wanting more for a long time.
Not only do these conflicts happen, but they happen simutaneously. So as one sub-plot gets finalised, another springs into its place, which was lurking in the background for the few episodes that the previous one was getting closure (love that word). Its like a continuous flow of conflicts. You just can't stop watching. Its great if you've got the entire series on DVD or ripped from somewhere, but if you have to wait till next weeks episode, with those damned commercials, it gets quite frustrating (although watching an entire season in one sitting isn't that great either).
I just thought I'd break the monotony a bit =)

I woke up so late today I had a headache. It must've been like 3:30. That didn't really leave me enough time to do anything productive. So guess what I did?
Played games... watched next episode of OC.
Oh and I finally got alias season 1... haven't actually seen that in its entirety, so watched a bit of that.

Disappointed.... no chidori vs rasengan?!
For those of you who watch Naruto, I thought it was quite disappointing. I mean, I could see it coming a mile away, but still. It would have been interesting if it did happen. Oh well, can't have everything you want.
I was actually meant to get up a bit earlier today to go to uni and do a bit of cramming before the exam. But, seeing as getting up early isn't exactly my strong point, it didn't end up happening. Instead, I just left at around 12:30 and crammed in the car while I waited.
The exam itself went okay. Too many itty bitty things I missed out on I think. Even though it was all multiple choice, some of the questions were kinda crap. Hopefully I should do alright. I think its the only possible H1 I can get. Actualyl we don't even have our assignment marks back. I could have done really crap :( Hmm.. oh well, done now, no need to worry about it anymore.
I think I really need to get out a bit more. I've been sitting at home doing nothing. Terence's poker idea sounds pretty interesting actually. I rekon we should use money. Like, everyone puts in a maximum of $10 for the night, and it gets converted into mahjong chips. So whatever happens at the end, we just go out to PP or something and they shout =) Its kind of like the relatives version of mahjong, cept I'm sure they'll have a bit of cash left over to keep.
Anyone feel like doing anything tonight? I'm bored...

Its true...
Getting up early after sleeping really late can sometimes be good, and sometimes make you feel like crap. Today was probably leaning towards the good side. After only about 4 hours, I got up to go to uni and study. Yes 4 hours. Why 4 hours? Because trying to sleep when you haven't done anything sucks. I think I was up till at least 4:30 trying to sleep. *sigh* When will I ever learn?
So anyway, went to uni and studied. Mainly did a lot of legal and ethical frameworks stuff, but also did some networks as well. I probably don't know enough to do really well in the exam, but oh well. I really can't be stuffed this semester. Not really sure why either.
I had KFC for lunch again. Saw Garry, but he didn't see me. Looked a little busy, so I thought I shouldn't disturb him. Thats not the real reason of course, just one I made up then. Good enough though.
Studied some more, came home, ate, sat around. The next episode of Naruto hasn't come out yet, which is quite strange actually.

You know what? I forgot to say that I had an exam yesterday. If anyone is wondering, I think I didn't go TOO badly. That is, I don't think I failed...
Today was another one filled with nothing. I got up really late, again. I only just started studying then. I read through most of the lecture slides, had enough, and sat down to write this blog.
I'm downloading more stuff, watching anime, and just sitting around for the most part. Some more episodes of anime are just about to be downloaded. Yay. I'm hungry too.
Jeez this is really unstructured. I need to find something to talk about, seriously.
Oh by the way, for those of you who don't know. Homestar Runner is really cool. Yeah thats about it really. Nothing to say again.

woah
Yeah its been a while. I haven't really written anything because not much has been going on. Plus I was meant to be studying, so no blog creates the illusion that I was actually studying. Sif :)
So what have I been up to I hear you all ask. Well a couple of things. Watching the OC, playing more Rome: Total War, and errr... trying to study.
The OC is really addictive. After watching like the rest of the season, I went back to the start and the episodes I missed. After watching those, I just kept going and going. I think I'm up to episode 12, again. Heheheh. The end is quite sad actually. Everyone is unhappy, people leave, people cry, etc. I almost cried too :~(
I also got the first episode of season two. Everything is all happy again. Except for Teresa, but she can stay in Chino.
Ah... cbf writing anything tonight.

My second client?
I got woken up again today. Silly Fi. I was just going to bum the whole day. Actually, I did bum the whole day, but I was planning on sleeping for a bit longer.
She woke me up to take her to Heidelberg. Then 2 minutes later, she doesn't need me anymore. So I just started to play games...
Mel called. Now her computer was stuffed. Actually, it still is kind of stuffed, since it won't actually turn on, but the urgent problem is out of the way. So that was the problem. I think the motherboard is stuffed. She said the last time it half-turned-on successfully it made lots of funny noises... I don't think its the power supply because the motherboard LED turns on when you plug it in.
Mel had something due in a couple of days, so instead, we just kind of took the hard drives out of the computer, used Adrian's computer as an organ donor, and copied the files across. Hmm.. that isn't a very good analogy. Okay so we just replaced one of his hard drives with Mel's one with work on it, and just copied it over.
So Age, if you're wondering what all Mel's stuff is doing on your computer, umm... yeah. Plus, your case is really really really dusty. You should clean it one day.
I got paid in cake. Very chocolately and eggy cake, but still cake all the same.
Bummed around for the rest of the night. Paul just came over to grab his parking permit, the legal textbook and initial d. Also dropped by series 1 of OC while he was at it, which means I don't have to get it from Andrew, but they're his things anyway, so I guess I'll have to give it back eventually.
Going to uni tomorrow. Need to study. Yeah.. lots of study =) Hopefully it will be productive.

studying!? mmm nah
Last night, we had our first box hill night in a long time. It was China bar, and Sam filled us in on recent events in his life. See his blog for more info :) Poor guy. Don't worry about it, you'll be alright, just forget about it.
I got up fairly early today to go to uni and print off stuff and study. Got there around 10ish, printed stuff off till about 11ish, sat around trying to study till about 1:30ish, got really really bored and had a headache, and went home to eat and stuff. lol. So much for studying. I should really do some actual study I rekon, but I can't be stuffed.
So what did I do instead? Watched the Melbourne Cup, sat around, played more Rome, sat around some more.
I've got really short posts lately. I think I need something to talk about.

Too much procrastination, not enough work. Thats usually what happens in my life. Its also particularly accurate today. Again I slept till really late, sat around playing games the rest of the time, and just ate dinner. Quite boring really. I think I'm going to go to uni tomorrow to sit around and study. Also to use up all that print quota I have at IS to print out all my lecture notes.
Ho humz. Looks like its going to be a fairly boring night.
Ho humz. Looks like its going to be a fairly boring night.
My first client! kind of .. and Eewwwwwwwww
The day started off in a rather boring fashion. I woke up, and my room was boiling, so I went out into the sitting room to sleep on the couch. Then I moved to my parent's room when they left. My room is always the hottest in the morning. It doesn't help that I close the door when I go to sleep.
I didn't really wake up until Mel's uncle called again. I was helping him fix his net connection over the phone. It didn't really help much. I had him reformat his P4. He had to come over to get the XP cds and stuff, and I walked him through a little of the install. Its quite a handful to give tech support over the phone. I guess I'm a little glad that I didn't end up getting that tech support job at the ISP a while ago.
You'd think it'd be okay if you just format and put everything back the way it was. We even tried to use system restore, and setting up connection sharing manually. No such luck. Firstly we couldn't open the network properties of his internet connection, secondly, the system restore wasn't even working. All it was giving us was a message that said we couldn't restore. Gee thanks microsoft, I love your error messages, so useful.
So we decided to format. That didn't solve the problem. Spent ages trying to get it to work using the home netwokring wizard and stuff like that. No such luck. Cutting 5 hours short, we just decided (because I brought my modem just in case) that we'd give my modem a go. It worked like a charm. Not only that, it also lets him share the net without any computer being on. Handy huh.
Also, it turns out that there was something with his iBook settings as well. That wasn't actually the main problem, as his iMac seemed to have the same problems. So I gave him my modem, picked up a modem on the way back home from Wilson (and some maccas while I was at it), and yeah. Done.
So I got home, ate my maccas, and sat around. Fi was feeling really shitty. I just found out why. There was seriously 2 kgs of vomit in the bathroom. Talk about ew. I was dry retching just from standing there. *shudder* It was so bad. I think I'll just leave it at that.

So I got home, ate my maccas, and sat around. Fi was feeling really shitty. I just found out why. There was seriously 2 kgs of vomit in the bathroom. Talk about ew. I was dry retching just from standing there. *shudder* It was so bad. I think I'll just leave it at that.

absolutely nothing
Thats pretty much what I did today. It actually feels really good to be able to sleep for as long as I want to. I think I only ended getting up at around 1 o'clock. I feel really tired still. It doesn't make sense how the more you sleep, the more tired you feel.
I'll leave it short, because I've got nothing to say.

SAD wasn't so sad after all... hohohoho
Today I got to drive the van to uni. First time I've driven the van in a month or so (for a relatively extended trip), and it was the first time I've ever driven to uni in it. heheh =) Had to go get Joce n Kaz on the way, but we still managed to get there on time.
SAD lecture was okay, they talked about the exam. Hopefully it shouldn't be too bad. I've got like 10 days to study for it anyway, so I don't think I'll start till the end of networks and possibly a few days :)
The SAD pressentation didn't turn out too badly after all. Apparently we got a really good mark in the end, so that was awesome. We'll have to see if that the actual official mark at the end, so yeh, hopefully it'll be good. I think we got like 23/25 for the group mark. Not sure about individuals, but it looks like its the same for everyone in the group, which is great :)
I came home to eat some lunch, then went out to the Pines with Em. Its changed quite a bit. Theres an ALDI and Gloria Jeans and a Giodarno and even a Telechoice =) It looks really nice too. Problem is that there isn't enough parking for anyone, so that kind of ruined the whole experience. We had to wait for some people to unload two trolleys worth of stuff into their car before I could get into a spot. Ah well. I had one of those Oreo bashes that Em keeps raving about from Gloria Jeans. In her words, it tasted like 'ice cream chocolate with oreos and coffee'. So if you can imagine that, then thats what its like.
Oh and Joce gave me a photo from the IS ball. I forgot that she took one. Its just got Max, Joce and I in it. Umm.. thats all.
Oh and Coalition has control of the senate. Old news, but worth telling everyone anyway. Family first probably don't have a say in much that goes on now.

IS professionals
Sometimes doing group projects make me think about stuff. That is, group projects in learning institutions. Usually its not very good stuff that I think about. I was thinking some people might identify themselves with the things I might say, so I don't think I'll say anything. (no karen, not you, u just pretend ur dumb)
Instead, I thought I'd talk about what an Information Systems professional is. If you want the short version, its basically someone who pretends to know what they're doing with computers. If you've ever actually talked to most of them though, most of them wouldn't know any other kind of operating system other than windows. Oh sure they know what a Mac is, but when you tell them it doesn't actually run windows, they look shocked (it actually runs OS X, an apple propreietry OS based on UNIX).
For most of the people who complete an Information Systems degree, they won't actually know too much more than before they started. Oh sure they'll learn that TQM stands for total quality management, and that GPRS has something to do with mobile phones, and if you're lucky, you'll find that they might even know what UNIX is. Personally, I think going to do a technical college might get you a better job.
Sure Information Systems is a new area of study and nobody really knows much about it. However, they try to teach you a lot of timewasting crap. Things such as system design, organisational change, and inefficient code. Yesterday I was told by Joey that 'for' loops are technically incorrect, and that while loops should be used instead. Now excuse me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure you can write the equivilent of a while loop with a for loop without any complications at all.
Thing is though, a lot of the academic staff in the department pretend to be experts. Rox works in the industry, and she rekons that if she does a specialist course, the company can 'sell you off as an expert' when in fact, you don't actually know that much more than anyone else. Lucky academics have the benefit of hindsight when looking at other peoples' mistakes. Case studies of information systems are usually analysed, and they can tell you what went wrong, but only after it happened. I'm sure that if they were in that situation as well, chances are they probably would have made similar mistakes.
This is actually starting to sound like economic theory. Maybe I'm being too harsh again. Students probably don't really go home and sit around on the computer everyday like I do. They probably haven't set up their own computer network at home, nor have they built their own computers from scratch. Maybe I'm just a computer science geek in denial.

SADDDDDDDDDDD
Systems Analysis and Design Design Design Design Design etc.
Yeah. I don't think I need to explain much about what I did today. THe above statement just sums it up completely.
I did get to uni late, again. Missed out on most of the legal lecture. But basically it was just a summary since its the last lecture anyway. Also, what was nice of them was to give us a 1 hour exam, and two hours to do it. They said something about the university administration only offering to do 2 or 3 hour exams. Tight huh? Apparently the lecturer is justifying it by saying that ppl who have English as a second language have more time to think about it. I wonder why nobody else seems to do that.
Loretta actually came to psych today. First time I've actually seen her in the lecture. We learnt some more about memory. Too bad I can't remember what they said already.
Read the paper, went to do SAD until about 5, spent an hour getting home, ate dinner, wrote blog.
I'm going to write something else, just later.

Rain rain go away, come back when its really hot
Whats it with bad weather and bad days? Do they seem to go together with suprising frequency? Is it some sort of conspiracy?
These were just some of the questions I was asking myself this morning while walking through the rain in my rain soaked pants. No parking anywhere near uni, so I had to walk a long way. Not only that, I was late for class, so I didn't go. Also, when I was trying to close my umbrella, I cut myself. Didn't even notice that it happened until I started bleeding all over my soaked newspaper.
So now I've got nothing to do until lunch. Actually, i've got SAD to do, but I don't really want to do it. I just want to go on holidays right now. *sigh* Sleep some more too. Lots of SAD to do tonight, its like... till really late because I've got a group meeting at 4 till whenever. Hmmz.
I don't really want to walk through the rain to KFC. Chances are that there'll be no seats cos its raining and nobody wants to sit outside and eat. I wonder what we'll do. I don't think Nancy will want to come either, since it'll make her hair frizzy and stuff. Thats assuming that she actually came to uni today in the first place, lazy girl :P

I was thinking of not posting anything. Nobody else seems to have posted anything today. It really seems to be dying off. But I thought I'd better keep my repuatation as the one who actually posts regularly.
Early start today. One lecture about the accessability of websites. It seemed a lot like our multimedia and communications lectures, but actually provided examples and user testimonies. Would have been interesting if I hadn't done multimedia before, but oh well.
Psych... hmm.. boring as usual. I think they were talking about stage theories of memory. That is, the idea that the short term memory and the long term memory are different systems in the brain.
Came back home by bus, reading the paper. Couldn't get the nine letter word today, I'm really struggling on the crosswords too. Had lunch then had a nap. That was for a couple of hours, so I was kinda late for dinner :) Dinner was really nice, had some really tender steak. YUmmmmm...
Hmmmm.. what else... oh.. watched OC.. and thats about it really. Oh I finished Rome as the Cartheginians. YAY..

Yay its all done!
Well actually, its ALMOST all done. At least I finished my legal and psych last night. I actually went over to Kaz's to get SPSS, because I realised that I kind of needed it to do the psychology report. Paul and Kaz came around 1 to give me their assignments because none of us could be stuffed to go in in the morning just to hand in the assignment (it was due at 10am). So I thought I'd just get Fi to do it. Actually, she offered, and I got her to hand other peoples' in as well. Went to sleep around 2ish, woke up at around 8 to print it my legal to give to Fi to hand in for me (because I didn't want to wake Fi since the printer is in her room) and yeah.. sat around fixing up up my psychology report.
I also did the legal tute worksheet for today as well. It involved quite a bit of reading. Basically it was about a company which manufactured a radiation device that was used for treating cancer patients. However, due to several imperfections in the software and stuff, people got radiation burns and subsequently died from it. Quite interesting really. The tute was about the different parties involved and who should be the ones responsible i.e. who to blame, for these 'accidents'.
The networks lecture today was also relatively interesting because Udaya (the normal lecturer) isn't here for the rest of the week, so we had Aaron. He's such a funny guy because he's such a geek. Its kinda scary sometimes.
Anyway, thats about it. Traffic on the way home was crap, especially on Alexandra Parade, had a nice dinner, and came home.

update
Legal: Finished, need to proofread and fix up the bibliography (put it in alphabetical order)
Psych: 415 words, need to go get SPSS from someone. Could be up late tonight as well
Haven't slept, but feel relatively okay. I've been procrastinating too much. I don't usually take a whole day to write 600 words. It seems to go a lot faster at night when theres absolutely nothing to do.
Current song: Michael Buble - You Must Have Been A Beautiful Baby
yeh uns uns uns

i'm still up
Just took a leak. No, I didn't just get up, I still haven't been to sleep yet. The sun is out, it looks like a nice day. Remind me not to look directly at the sun like I just did then. I'm meant to go have coffee at 10am with aunties and stuff. I think I'll need a caffine hit around about then.
Currently: 1859 words of legal
0 words of psych report (I left what I'd already done at uni, so I gotta start again, well either that or I can do the rest without the method, and jsut get that on the Monday)

argh
Spring is good for the weather, but very bad if you're the one mowing the lawn. As soon as it gets warm, the grass seems to get higher faster than you know. Watching the grass grow can actually be exciting. But that means you have to mow the lawn more often. In my case, its about every fortnight and a bit, especially when it gets into the summer season.
If you can't guess what I did today, I mowed the lawn. Meh, at least it gives me some exersise.
Also, I procrastinated a lot. Still haven't done much on my assignments. I really need to do it. I think I'll stay up tonight and finish my legal assignment, then leave my psychology report for tomorrow.

Bad day for good weather?
Its really good weather today, but I felt like I've had a bad one.
I've known for a long time that I'm really good at procrastinating, but I just didn't realise to what extent. I spent the whole of last night just sitting around, either watching old episodes of Naruto, or trying to find someone to chat to. Not only that, I was up till about 2 doing that. Its so sad. I'm so screwed for my assignments.
Stupid legal is due on Monday, and so is my psychology report. Chances are I won't get any sleep on Sunday night, and I'll be trying to finish the psych report in the morning and early afternoon (its due at 5pm, while legal is due at 10am). Whats worse is that SAD is gayed, theres quite a bit I need to do for that, and we haven't started.
Mum just asked me to work tonight, but I thought it might be a good idea if I actually did some work on those assignments, so I said no. Fi can't work either, so they might be a little bit understaffed.
Today's aNnOy-O-mEtEr looks like this:
[------o---]
Quite high, but don't worry, you can still talk to me, I'm mainly annoyed at myself. Actually I'd prefer the company.

I hope Adrian is OK
Just found this news article about the latest typhoon to hit Japan. People actually died and stuff, although I don't really know whereabouts in Japan it hit, since I wouldn't have a clue about Japanese geography. Hmm... and today he's meant to have his day off as well, I wonder if he went out last night... well hopefully he stayed at home and did homework :)

Shaun of the dead
I've just watched it. Seriously one of the most hilarious movies I've ever watched. For those of you who've never heard of it, its basically a farcical (speeling?) zombie movie. Basically theres your average Joe, named Shaun, and its just about his story when zombies decide to show up, and everyone gets infected. I don't think its a good idea to give away the funny parts, so just take my word for it. Its bloody hilarious. Its different because its a British film, so it hasn't been hollywoodised. The accents (includes a couple who are Irish) are a welcome change to your average movie.
I'm guessing some of you won't really like it. It includes a bit of slap-stick comedy, and if thats not your type, then maybe its not your kind of movie. It also loses a bit towards the end in terms of its humourousness, but makes up for it in the rest of the movie. Of course, it is based on a horror film, so it does have to take a bit away from that genre. For those of you who have watched it, I loved the record part, and the tennis ball part the best. For those of you who haven't seen it, keep in mind that I've got it if anyone wants a copy.

Introducing the new and improved aNnOy-O-mEtEr
Remember those few days that I was really annoyed and pissed off? Well to tell you the truth, I felt like introduciong the annoy-o-meter then, but it always slipped my mind. Either that or I didn't really want anyone to feel sorry for me at the time. Anyway, somehow I've remembered it. Basically what it does is measure my average annoyance level for the day, taking regular measures of the annoyance level every few hours. It looks like this:
[o---------]
So the brackets are the extreme ends of the meter, and the o represents the current annoyance level. The meter above shows that I'm currently not annoyed at all. This does not necesarily mean that I've had a good day, but just shows that I'm not currently annoyed at anyone or anything. Sometimes the annoyance level can have residual effects from previous days, or if the previous annoyance was big enough, the annoyance level could stay high for weeks or months. However, this is fairly unlikely to happen. Stay tuned for changes to the annoy-o-meter.
Anyway, onto today's events. Early start today. Got a ride from Karen, because I thought I shouldn't piss Mel off this week. I don't think I've driven Mel this semester, and thats probably not such a good thing. Hmmm... maybe next year, when theres a possibility of at least some of our timetables being approximately the same. Its good knowing lots of people who live around you and go to the same place everday =) We should start getting more people to drive... like June, and Fi. OO we should get Michael as well, haven't talked to him in ages, its like he's too busy with things everytime I see him. Either that or he REALLY doesn't want to talk to me. Yeh, sometimes I have that effect on people. Hmm.. theres also Wendy, but she looks like she's asleep when she's driving, so I'm not sure if its a good idea to put a bunch of people into her car. Could become quite hazardous. Plus, I haven't seen her in ages either, and I don't even know where she lives except that its around here.
Class was boring as usual. I forgot to bring my glasses, so I couldn't see anything, and like Sam, everyone seems to look better than before. :) Came back to eat lunch, get a haircut, and bum around the rest of the night.
Oh, I finished downloaading Shaun of the dead. So if anyone really wants a copy of it (its in DVD format.. woahhhhhhh ) then just ask.

Let them hate us, as long as they fear us - Some really ancient dude
Wayyyy too much Rome today, not enough thinking about doing work, or even doing work.
Got up around 11ish. Went over to the restaurant to eat lunch. That wasn't very filling, but it did the job, and early dinners are good for that anyway. Drove to uni to go to my networks lecture. Seriously didn't have a clue what they were talking about today. He started explaining something about the project, and someone shouted "Why are you telling us this now? Isn't the project due tomorrow?"
The lecturer said something about him still being asked these questions so late, and the guy who asked the question didn't have anything else to say. I could feel the tension in the lecture theatre. ooOOoo. The lecturer went on to bag the people who started late in a very fobbish kind of way. Its like he doesn't know most of us take it as an insult. The way he writes things on the newsgroups is like that too.
Anyway, gave Chris a ride back to his car and drove home. I thought I'd read the psych articles in preparation for doing my report, which is a good start.
Had dinner, came home, sat around, played more Rome. Hmm... yeh thats about it
Oh yeh and some minesweeper.

Door knobs and fridges
Turns out I slept quite well last night. I got woken up by my other grandma. She came to ask whether I could fix her broken tap, again. Oh I forgot to say that I fixed it again last night. You wouldn't believe how stingey she was in buying those replacement parts. She got them from the $2 shop, and bought like.. 10 of them. So no wonder it broke again. I took it out last night to find that the rubber had come off the one that I just put in like a few days before that. So annoying. So remember, for stuff that you need for your everyday life, buy good quality stuff. This includes things like, your car, your door knob, the chair you sit on, and your fridge.
Anyway, that was at about 12:00 again, although I managed to get enough sleep, so I actually got up after a bit. Although I didn't actually accomplish that much today. Played more Rome till dinner, then had dinner :)
Came back home... sat around a bit, Karen came online and pointed out something on the networks project we forgot, so I chucked that in, read a bit of stuff for legal and ethical. I seriously need to start that essay soon. Mm... watched a bit of the arias, and now umm.. doing nothing again.

argh! don't wake me up!
Argh! Just when I'm looking forward to a nice long sleep in, people have to go wake me up. WHY!? Maybe I should turn my phone off when I go to sleep and don't need to wake up.
So after a long night of doing my networks assignment with Chris (up until about 2ish), I go to bed after being really tired the whole day. So tired in fact, that after the SAD presentation while we were doing networks, Joce actually smsed me to say "Hey Ally =) RU ok hon? U looked tired in SAD..." Now Joce never messages me unless she needs something, like a ride, (no offence Joce if you're reading this, I still luv ya newayz :-) ) so this was fairly out of the blue.
Can you believe who actually woke me up? Ginny, of all people, it had to be her. She called, and for those of you who know what my room looks like, I had my phone next to my computer. For those of you who don't, it means I had to get out of bed, stumble across to the other side of the room, bring my phone back to bed, and answer it. Whats worse is that she didn't even really have anything important to tell me except to vote for her in the student elections. Its like getting a call from John Howard early in the morning to try and get you to vote. Just shouldn't happen.
However, it didn't end there. After falling back to sleep, I get another call. This time, its from my grandma asking me to go to lunch. Lucky this time, I had my phone next to my bed.
At 11:30
"Can you come over for lunch?"
"nrreeeehhh"
"Its at 12:00."
"nreeehhh"
"Okay see you then."
"nregghh.."
*hangup*
*Ez falls asleep*
At 12.
*brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr*
(my phone is on vibrate)
*Ez wakes up*
"Are you coming?"
"yeaahhhhh"
So yeah, not enough sleep.
Lunch was ok, grandma is still spooning everything she can into my bowl. Came back home to do some more networks. I think we've finished the programming part, we just found the bugs and fixed them, changed a couple of structures partially, and thats about it. Although we've got a bug that seems to happen when we run shell scripts on the program, when theres fragments of 5 or 7, but when we do 5 or 7 without shellscripts, its okay. *shrugs* cbf doing ne more on it.
Played some more Rome, talked to Karmz a bit. They've got muckup day on Monday, which is quite early. She's also going to melb uni tomorrow for some history lecture to prepare for the exam. I thought that was kind of weird.
Oh I also did a delivery, managed to get a $7 tip somehow. Helps a bit with my financial troubles. *sigh* Hopefully I'll sleep well tonight.

sleepy
Going out with the guys last night probably didn't feel how I feel today. That is, really really sleepy. Even though I had about 6 hours sleep, which is usually plenty, I still feel sleepy. Perhaps it was all the group stuff. Group stuff is the most draining thing ever.
I even slept in a bit, so I was late to pick Paul n Karen up. We still managed to get to uni almost on time, which was good. I felt like sleeping in the first lecture, which finished early because nobody had any questions. When do people ever have questions? If a lecturer asks you to prepare some questions for the lecture, how many people will actually go and do it? Hmm... there were some that were just made up on the spot, but thats it.
Since it finished early, we went down to ICT to try and fix up our class and interaction diagrams for our tute. Overall we went ok. I got a 7.25/10 Not bad, but not terribly great either. Then, onto networks with Chris n Kaz. Networks took ages, and I'm not sure if we did that much. Turns out we only left uni just before 5.
Went to the restaurant, ate dinner, went to pick up Fi, came home, sat around. Still feeling sleepy. Hmm.

long day
It's been a long day. At least it feels like a long day. Perhaps its because of the early start. I think I'm going a little overboard with the punctuation and the short scentences, and I can't spell either. Do I look like a FOB? Quite possibly: can't spell, can't punctuate. Maybe I'm just stupid.
So what has made it such a long day? Ah, everything. Actually, probably just waking up really really tired does it for me. Picked up Eric and Karen, went to class. Legal lecture was just like Principles of Business Law all over again. It was all about contracts, express terms, implied terms, blah blah blah snore... Psych was just as bad. Snore... Kerry had to poke me to keep me awake. Several times in fact.
Saw Lori as well, said hi, didn't come to the lecture, again. I have noticed something different about her though.
We had another group meeting for networks, figured we need to practically start again, and its due on Tuesday, so we better get started. I'm meant to do the hashtable, I've got the code from 253, so it should be okay. I'm meant to e-mail the hashtable stuff to chris by the end of the night, but I don't think that'll happen since I haven't started it yet. Hopefully we should get a better mark than we did for the last project. If only it was like SAD, and they give marks for effort, not correctness. Actually, then I'd do really badly.
Went to get free sushi. Mmmmm... free sushi! Everything is good when its free. And yes, there is such a thing as a free lunch, if you know the right people :) Its all about connections these days, and I think I ran into like... 10 people in the Law building, so I'm on the right track. I don't even do law! Sorry, I'm such a tryhard Law student, pretending I know about contracts and free sushi.
Didn't really do much else today, came back home, drove out to Glen Waverly again to help with deliveries, came home to eat, ate, sat around.
Oo actually, I watched some of Red Vs Blue. Its actually quite funny, if you have the bandwidth to download it.
I think I'll go start the networks project.

Not so bad as it seems
I don't think my CPU has gone that bad. I just opened the case up (actually it was already open) and took off the CPU fan. You woudln't believe how much dust was in there. Adrian might, since I think the same thing happened to his AMD 2000+ fan, but yeh. Basically, the fan was blowing at a wall of dust instead of through the heat sink grill. It didn't really make that much of a difference at the time because it was fairly cold weather. But yesterday was hot, and that kind of made the whole situation worse.
So anyway, I took the fan off, and out, and cleaned it out. I thought it was a bit dangerous to use water on the electrical fan, but it was taking too long using a cotton bud. So after the water :), I just used the hair dryer to make it all dry again, then chucked it back in.
Now its running at a pretty constant 38 degrees (thats like, almost body temperature!), so I shouldn't have any more problems in the near future. Looks like I won't be getting any replacement either. Phew, theres a few hundred dollars at least that stays in my bank account.
Uni today was okay though. SAD seemed to go for a lot longer than it normally does, and there were no more cognitive psychology labs for the rest of the semester, so I spent the time playing pool with Mica and Eric. Also, there was that 'Very Special Kids' fundraiser on, and people I knew were helpin, so I felt obliged to buy a sausage. Ah well, all for a good cause. I saw Magic Dave there too, and we killed off another hour reading the newspaper. Networks was pretty boring, but at least they told us a bit more on the project.
Had the usual KFC lunch with Sam. Nobody else came today, it was quite disappointing. But we had our traditional chat. Now that I think about it, the approach you made was pretty creepy Sam, maybe try something more subtle next time :) If there is a next time of course.
Everybody seems to be having an accident lately. So my car was almost full on the way home. Did the rounds, ate dinner, and came back home to fiddle around with the computer. Not such a bad day.

woah it was hot
According to the 'Current Melbourne observations' site on BOM, it reached a top of 27.9 in Viewbank today. The thing is though, I thought it felt a lot hotter. Maybe its because I actually went outside and walked around.
Went to uni today, turned up to class, saw the usual people, came home. Had lunch, went to get a few light globes and some plumbing thing, went for a run/walk (about 5 kms mind you) , ate dinner, did some programming, came home, sat around.
Not that exciting today. Too hot to write anything more, I think my computer was going to explode earlier in the day.

Warmish, but not quite there
So much for a 30 degree day. In Viewbank, which is just across the river, it only reached a top of 26 degrees. Now if we were in the buearu of meteorology, we'd call this an accurate estimate. Apprently, they call it an accurate forecast if its within 5 degrees of the forecasted top/bottom. Thats a 10 degree range. Its like saying, "oh yeah, umm.. tomorrow, its going to be between 20 and 30 degrees". If you're pondering whether you should wear shorts or a skirt in that kind of weather, then it doens't help. Its especially bad if you've got an early start, and can't wake up in time to see whether it'll actually get there or not. Not so much of a problem in summer when its at least 30 degrees everyday, but at times like this, its pretty bad.
Sometimes they're early in their forecasting, and the storm you were expecting at night just happens to come by before you've cleaned up your BBQ. Other times, they're late, and the beach trip you were planning on going to after the storm had passed has to be delayed because the storm hasn't actually got there yet. Tomorrow's forecast says we're expecting a top of 32. While its true that 5 degrees in either direction is definately shorts/skirt weather (or even short skirt weather =) ), the forecast for the day after is wet. I'm just hoping that they're right about the timing, and that it actually rains on Wednesday instead of Tuesday. I don't have uni for that long tomorrow (i finish at 11am), but it'd be nice if we didn't have to go home while its raining and smell a stinker.
I suppose you can't really blame them though... meteorology, by its very nature, is an imperfect science. Jeannie, hopefully your Mr. M will be able to do a much better job when he graduates. Where did he go by the way?
I only started uni at 2 today. But I got up earlier to finish my tute work and finish off my part of the SAD assignment. Printed them off, went to the restaurant for lunch, then drove to uni. I parked really far, because they were doing road works around some parts of uni, and I couldn't find a parking spot very easily. Ah well, at least it was cheap, only $2.40 for about 4 hours or so. Class was pretty boring as usual, Lillian was loud in our legal tute again, but she was part of the SSLC (student something liason committee), and was doing a survey. We were meant to write down what we thought of the subject. I thought I'd be diplomatic, and I said something along the lines of "Felt that students were not all getting their fair share of speaking time in tutorials". For those of you who haven't been reading since the start of the blog, Lillian is the extremely loud one which spurts out useless comments to almost every question and answer. I wonder if she'll pick it up. Probably not, she seems rather brainless.
Oh yeah, I also figured the networks project won't be as easy as I thought it would be. We kind of missed some of the parts. It wasn't very clear, or obvious.
Anyway, took Eric home afterwards, ate dinner, which was some really nice fish, and came home. Gotta do some networks project later... laterz!

Post election review
For those of you who don't know yet, the Coalition is back for another three year term. With only a few seats left undecided, and already having a 26 seat majority, its a rather overwhelming result. It also looks as though they will have control of the senate as well. However, this is contingent on the Family First party supporting their movies. It means they will also be able to block anything that the Senate can do, for example, hold enquiries into things, like the children overboard incident. Even though I am a Liberal supporter, this makes me a little worried.
The upper house of parliament was not originally designed to help the government do its job, but rather keep a watch on it. It has an even distribution of representatives from each state. This is in contrast to the house of representatives, which has representatives based on the population. There is a representative for approximately every 50,000 voters. The reason for the senate is that legislation passed from the house of representatives that might disadvantage states with small populations could be stopped. It also had the power to conduct enquiries into actions the government has undertaken (or not undertaken). Basically, the senate is a safeguard so that we don't have another Russian despot take over the place.
The senate could still theoretically keep a very keen eye on what the government is doing, but since it is controlled by the party which also controls the house of representatives, almost anything could be let through. I say almost because it needs one more vote to have a majority. At the moment, the Coalition has 38 out of 76 seats in the senate, with their supporters (the family first party) holding another. Potentially, this situation could also give the Family First party a big say in many of the issues that the Coalition may raise. I'm not really sure what the preferance deals they did were, but its likely that they wouldn't honor these deals if the government decided to say... outlaw Christianity.
I've got a problem with the Family First party though. Throughout the whole campaign, they have not announced any policies nor have they expressed their opinions on anything. Basically, they've just stood around waving their posters on the side of the road. Somehow, they get a whole heap of publicity on the newspaper just few days before the election. The only political thing they've done is closely aligned themselves with the Liberal party by doing a whole heap of preference deals. What I want to know is, how did these guys, who just sprang out of nowhere onto the political landscape, get a seat in the senate? My guess is that since Family First is a church based party, which they don't really tout very much, heaps of Christians just vote because of that.
So what does a senate seat for the Family First party mean? In a nutshell, proposed new laws we have in this country in the next three have to undergo Christian scrutiny before they're passed. W00t.
I'm sure it happened all the time in the form of lobbying anyway, but now it seems very formal. For those of you who are Christians, thats a plus. I'm not sure if the full sale of Telstra is in the interests of Christianity (with a name like Ziggy, I wouldn't be suprised if the CEO is a demonic fiend attempting to get "fire to the home" hohoho), but I guess we'll see.
P.S. For those of you who don't get the joke, its based on Telstra's vision to bring "fibre to the home". I.e. Get every house in Australia connected up to optical fibre for broadband internet and telephony. Its heaps better than the copper we're currently using.

Lets talk about Saturday
Hi there y'all! I missed Saturday's post, probably because I was too busy, or too bored or nothing had really happened yet to say anything. Hmmm.. I wonder if that actually makes sense.
Yesterday, I woke up about 9, stayed in bed until about 10:40, then got up because I realised that Em was going to come and pick me up to go vote. Luckily I got ready before she got here :) So Fi, Em and I went to go vote at the local church. I actually got past all the people handing out flyers without even getting one. I took the approach I normally take at uni, and just say "no thanks". WHats the point of them anyway? they put all the same fliers into the polling booths, so its not like you don't have enough "how to vote" cards.
Oh well, so the Libs won again, which I think is good, and Kevs still our buddy. Sorry Em, I guess your kick in the bum vote didn't count for much.
So basically, I spent the rest of the day waiting for the night. I watched a bit of tv, chatted as usual, and played a bit of games. I even did some SAD work, I think I've done my part of the diagrams, so it should be okay.
I managed to get a ride from Paul to the city for these 21sts. Went to Soh's, saw some people, drank a bit, did a speech (that was crap by the way), and listened to some other people doing speeches. Sorry I didn't stay that long, but other people offered better alchahol :) Walked down to Andrew's 21st with Joce and James.
I probably spent the majority of the time drinking with Liang. Although, I said hi to a whole heap of people, and the speeches were okay. Too bad Andrew didn't go for any higher than $25. I would have bid, but umm.. I dunno, not drunk enough obviously. No, I didn't pick up, I knew almost everyone there, so thats not a good thing. :)
Went home with Liang and Sarah (remember your next door neighbour terence?) by catching a cab. I think Sarah was a lil drunk, since she kinda sang the whole way back while everyone else was silent. Liang even fell asleep :) Got home around 2:30 or so, and then just went to bed.
It was a good night, free booze, free food, people to talk to, what more could you want??

Am I really evil?
If there was a poll feature on this blog site, I'd probably use it to ask everyone the above question. Alas, there is none, so instead, I'm going to use some biased and subjective self-analysis to discover the answer.
Disclaimer: the layout, content, and whatever written below is purely my opinion, and in no way represents the views, policies or opinions of The University of Melbourne :)
So why is this question asked in the first place? A lot of it actually comes from this blog. I 'read' really evil. I'm bitching about people for being annoying, I tell people to go &^%*&( off, especially in that 4 post within 24 hours period. That was bad. Fi noticed this, and pointed it out. When I look back on it, it really does make me look evil.
Normally, I don't really let too much negative emotion show. I'm not really sure why. I think I spend a lot more time smiling than I do frowning, which is a good thing. I don't really physically show anger or annoyance very often. It usually comes out in the form of a depressed look. Its like I don't like whats happening, but just unhappy because I can't really do anything about it. Its not really that though. I'm not sure... if anyone can come up with theories as to why I do so, feel free to share them with me, or anyone else. I promise I won't bag you, much. So on with the analysis.
Everyone has evil things to say, no matter how much they wish to deny it. If they don't have it to say, they're at least thinking about the critisisms and flaws of other people. If you don't, you probably don't get out enough (ooo theres another evil insult).
The thing is, I don't really have any other place to say these things. I can't tell the people directly, and to tell you the truth, theres nobody I feel really comfortable telling these things. This blog is like my confidant, yet I know that everyone reads it. Its so sad :( I think I feel a lot more comfortable putting things down onto 'paper' than I do telling someone in person. It feels a lot less awkward, probably because I'm not used to telling people, and I don't have to face their reaction directly here on the blog.
Maybe I just want people to know. This is kind of a place where I can vent my feelings in a fairly controlled environment. I mean, its only my monitor after all, and I know not to shoot the messenger. It takes the place of regular bitching, even though I guess I still do that on occasion.
I don't really care if everyone knows. A lot of people find they don't really want to express what they feel, but I don't really have anything to hide, unless of course people have asked me not to say anything. That hardly ever happens anymore though, especially after the Ginny/Terence incident. Don't worry, I don't blame you guys for not trusting me about this stuff anymore, I'd probably do the same. For those of you who don't know, I'm not to be trusted about relationship stuff, especially for people I know. I've had one black mark, and that stays with you for life. But yeh, nothing to hide. I wish I could share more with people, I really do, but I don't know who I should say it to, or what I should say. So instead, I say everything (within reason), to everyone on this blog.
Some people might say that having nothing to hide is a virtue. But its obviously not such a great one. Nobody wants to know everything that somebody else thinks. You'd get overloaded with someone else's problems, and carrying another person's burden as well as your own leaves no room for anything else, like having a good time. Its kind of like living in a customer service center. Sure you don't have to read this blog, but you'd be soooo out of it if you didn't :)
Maybe I just like the attention. If everyone reads the blog, and I've put something controversial up, then its possible that it could be the topic of conversation between people during the next day, or even some time later on. The more controversial or interesting the post, the more likely that this could happen. Just think about it, if I claimed to have conclusive proof that umm... sayy... Chi wasn't actually huge or fat, but he's actually made of flesh coloured plastic, it could make front page news! and everyone would come talk to me, and post comments. Yay. OoOo... that gives me ideas... >:)
Another possibility could be a replacement for a social life. I've obviously got nothing better to do late on a Friday night except write blog posts. Can you imagine how long it took me to write this one alone? At the moment, its 11:39 on the clock, and while I probably spend about half the time between now and the post time chatting, its still quite a substantial amount of time.
I think each of the possible reasons I've raised has a fairly evil component to it, so I'll have to conclude that I really am an evil person. Sorry.
I realise that this basically came out as a huge mess, and has almost no structure at all, but its just a bunch of crap-filled ideas made up on the fly. I'm sorry for being evil and sharing it with everyone. Being evil should be kept at home, and in private, so that at least everyone doesn't know and thinks you're a good guy. Thanks for reading, I hope I didn't bore you too much.

I'm annoyed
Very annoyed. Well... not very annoyed at any one particular person. Actually its only a little annoyed at some people. Its just that, when you add all those people up, it means I'm very annoyed. Normally I wouldn't even bother writing anything about being annoyed if it were only one person. Somehow... its managed to get upto... lemme count... five, at least. Now getting annoyed at five people within 24 hours is quite rare, for me at least.
Not a good day or night at all.
I'm kind of in a CBF mood for Saturday night as well. Two 21sts, possibly no or expensive way to get home. I wonder if I wouldn't mind sitting around at home. Or perhaps even watching a movie would be good. That reminds me, I have all this anime to watch, and I've hardly started it. There wasn't even any Naruto this week. That was pretty disappointing. Those guys from the water country are weird, and I wanna see them do their funky jutsu stuff.

so much err... work?
I don't like early starts anymore. At least not those 9 o'clock ones. I actually get up in time, but nobody else seems to. I feel like sleeping in when I wake up at 7. Perhaps I should go to sleep earlier.
So how was my day I hear you ask? It wasn't bad. I turned upto my first lecture half an hour late, which is pretty average for my 9am starts since we got back from holidays. Only Mark turned up to that one. I could see why though. Twas pretty boring. It was about e-crime, and stuff...
Also had a group meeting with Chris and Kaz. Chris is a new member to our group, so we're treating him with caution. Although he did make a contribution, so welcome aboard :) Managed to get a bit done, and took the bus home with Fi.
The highlight of the day would have been sittin in the van while Fi was driving. She's to mum like I was to dad when I was learning. RARARARARAARARRAARRA. AHHHHH!!!! *mum pushes invisible pedal* Yeh fun :) We ate in Glen Waverley, cos thats where we were doing deliveries, and came home.
I'm meant to do lots of work, but I really can't be stuffed. I reaslie I'm gonna get screwed over in the second last week of semester... but oh well.

an even more lovely day!
Woah... It was meant to be 24 degrees today. I'm not sure if it actually got there, but apparently it wasn't quite shorts weather. I'm not sure if I would have been comfortable in shorts now that I think about it. It got a bit chilly towards the end.
I drove in with Kaz and Paul in the morning, I think they're letting me give something back in return for all the rides they've been giving me, which was nice of them :) SAD was boring, as usual. I managed to get the nine letter word in the Age. It was 'implement', and Eric got yesterday's. That was handbreak.
I also should get started on my psychology lab report. We got the results for the experiment today, so yeh. They let you off your leash in 2nd year psych. I'm not really sure what to do, and they don't tell you much either. But its the last psych lab, so thats a good thing. No more classes between SAD and Networks in the afternoon. 3 hour breaks! Hmmm.... Trying to work out whether thats a good thing.
Had the usual KFC lunch, which Karen paid for. I'm really not sure why she owes me lunch for doing my part of the networks project, but hey, I don't mind a free lunch :)
I came home for dinner, helped my auntie set up the printer/scanner because we were missing the USB cable yesterday, and now I'm sitting around. Woohoo.

tight arse tuesday
I'm not used to getting up early anymore. Two weeks of waking up in the afternoon doesn't really help with the body clock. But I managed to get ready by 8. Mel was a little late, as usual, and so we got to class a little late, as usual. I missed about half my lecture. Oh well, was pretty boring anyway. It was about hacking, what I think I'm going to write my legal and ethical assignment on. Still boring none the less.
I saw Kerry today as well. She wrote this icq message about being sorry for not coming to the BBQ. Guys, don't worry about it, just buy me lunch :) I'm much prefer that actually. The path to a guy's heart is through his mouth, if everyone didn't know. So if you ever feel that you really need my forgiveness, all you really need to do is offer a good meal.
After uni, which was at 11, I just came home, ate lunch, and had a nap. I had a weird dream, but I don't really feel like sharing it here, its kind of disturbing in a family oriented sort of way. But I woke up all sweaty, so it was pretty bad. Anyway, had dinner, helped my auntie install a multifunction printer, and now I'm here. What a productive day.
